Forgiveness Vespers

Tonight (Feb. 14) at 5:30p we will pray Forgiveness Vespers. This is the first service of Great Lent and the proper way to begin our Lenten Fast. All of us should plan to attend. It will definitely set the tone for your experience of Great Lent and Holy Pascha this year.

Great Lent Begins

Evening Divine Liturgy Cancelled for Monday, Feb. 1

Given the continued icy road conditions and the potential for re-freezing this evening (and the state of our parking lot, which is a solid sheet of ice) Fr. Nicholas has made the difficult decision to cancel the Evening Divine Liturgy that was scheduled for tonight (Feb. 1) to celebrate the feast of the Meeting of the Lord in the Temple.

Divine Liturgy Cancelled for Sunday, Jan. 31

After considering the extreme cold and chance of additional snow that is forecast for tonight, and the urgent advice given by the Department of Transportation, Fr. Nicholas has decided to cancel the Divine Liturgy scheduled for Sunday morning, January 31, in addition to Orthros and Church School (which were cancelled earlier this afternoon).  Accordingly, there will be no services on Sunday morning.

Due to the inclement weather, the services scheduled for Saturday, January 30, have been cancelled. Accordingly, the Divine Liturgy for the Synaxis of the Three Holy Hierarchs and Great Vespers originally scheduled for this date will not be celebrated. Check back for an announcement about Sunday’s services.

Building Project Update

We now have our official building permit in hand and construction will proceed ASAP. Sub-grading of the site took place last week, and we still anticipate steel going up the end of January. Haitian Relief Offering

Christmas Day Service

The Divine Liturgy for the Nativity will be celebrated at 9:00am on Christmas Day, preceded by the Nativity Orthros at 8:00am. As in years past, our Church School students will be presenting a Christmas Message following the service. Please plan to attend this service as well as all the special services this week.
