3rd Hour Prayers will be cancelled Wednesday January 22 due to the weather conditions.
Plan now to attend as many of the special services as possible. Schedules for Holy Week are available in the Narthex and by clicking here: Holy Week and Pascha Schedule 2012
Your Lenten preparation for Pascha will be greatly aided by attending as many of these Lenten weekly services as possible. See our weekly and monthly schedule.
In our Archdiocese, March is set aside to honor the work and service of Antiochian women. Women will be more active in the church, will read the Epistle, will address those attending Liturgy and will take up a collection (on 1st and 2nd Sunday) for the Convent of St. Thekla at the Antiochian Village. We thank God for our All Saints Women’s Association called St. Thekla. They truly provide the “heart” to all that we do in our parish. Remember all women in our parish are considered members of St. Thekla.
All Adults in our parish are welcome to attend. Class begins about 9:15am in the Nave.
Remember to properly begin Great Lent by attending and participating in Forgiveness Vespers on Sunday February 26th at 5:30pm.
Again this year Orthodoxy Sunday Vespers will be prayed at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Durham (8306 NC Highway 751, Durham, NC 27713) at 5:00pm on March 4th. There will be a light Lenten meal following and a free-will offering for IOCC. All Orthodox faithful in the Triangle area are encouraged to attend.
Please note that our annual voters’ meeting has been rescheduled from November13th to December 4th. At the annual meeting, we will approve the church budget for 2012, elect 2 new parish council members, and approve the annual reports from our standing committees. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend.
